At this time of festive giving, there’s one cause which would really make the world a better place in 2017 – a gift of a few £s to the Aylesbury leaseholders and 35% Campaign who are fighting the legal challenge from Southwark Council. I’m sure that many of you are aware how crucial this case is to the entire ‘regeneration’ (aka demolition) process which is plaguing London’s
much beleaguered – but in the main still standing!! – council estates. I cannot stress too strongly what an upholding of the earlier judgment would do for knocking back the regen/demolition plans in this city.
It would also provide a much-needed morale boost for the dedicated housing campaigners who do a 2nd unpaid shift challenging council regen/demo plans.
If you want to hear more on why London’s council estates are so vital for this great city, then check out this debate:
The campaign is upto £4,816 and their target is £7k.
Please support this cause if you’re at all able to. If you have any queries regarding the Aylesbury or regen in general, please email me.
